5 by 5 Studio's control room C is manned by Jani Lagerström and his company Stylus Music.
After a youthful metal indiscretion, Jani – a native of Helsinki – found himself in the ranks of numerous funk bands playing the guitar, bass, synth, or drums. Next Jani's career took him to the world of music clubs, and working as a DJ and producer he got to know the house clubs of Finland and Europe.
Jani, a music technologist by education, masters the entire scope of modern music production and works as a producer, song writer, mixing engineer and remix engineer.
Stylus Music has spawned, among other things, productions (Hey Heather / Scandal Music), mixes (Erin / Warner), remixes (HIM / Sire / Warner, Antti Tuisku / Warner), and songs (Jonna Geagea / Universal, Wellu Rowaltz / Bonnier). The company's résumé also contains a wide variety of recording and programming jobs.
Earlier Stylus Music had its office in Punavuori, but as of early summer 2011 it has been part of the relaxed atmosphere at 5 by 5 Studio. The air-conditioned control room has a separate vocals and recording room, but recording is also possible using the large recording room.
