Sami Lehto, the founder of Dubmarine Music that can be found in 5 by 5 Studio's control room B, started playing piano at the age of 7 and first laid his hands on drum sticks 8 years later. Since 1993 Sami has been a professional musician, producer, sound engineer, mix engineer and composer/arranger, and he received his first gold record already in 1997. Dubmarine Music, a company specialized in comprehensive music production services, saw the light of day in 2001.
DUBMARINE MUSIC STUDIO
Dubmarine's studio facilities consist of a 20 m² control room and a 8 m² recording room that are visually connected with a window. Recording is also possible using the large recording room, and naturally 5 by 5 Studio's social facilities are available to customers. The control room is well designed and acoustically treated so that mixing and recording would be as easy as possible. For reproduction, the room is equipped with Genelec's DSP 7040 and 7270 in a 5.1 system that has been dimensioned and adjusted for the room and a set of Yamaha NS-10s. The recording and mixing equipment consists of ProTools Accel HD3 and Logic Pro + UAD-2 systems with heavy-duty 8-core MacPro Intel computers combined with the best manufacturers' preamp/EQ/compressor analogue hardware and microphones.
